What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been! As an entrepreneur, I often find myself on an emotional rollercoaster, and lately, the highs have felt spectacular, but the lows have been a tough ride too.
The excitement began when we launched new products last month. Sales have surpassed our initial projections, and it’s incredible to see our hard work paying off. The team and I spent countless nights organising products, and crafting the marketing campaigns, but every late night was worth it. Seeing positive customer product reviews has fuelled my motivation. It’s humbling to hear how our products are making a difference in people’s lives.
However, just as quickly, the lows hit. We've faced unexpected supply chain issues that have delayed shipments. In those types of moments, I feel the weight of responsibility—my team is counting on me, and so are our loyal customers. I’ve been deep in crisis management mode, negotiating with suppliers and brainstorming alternative solutions. It's exhausting but necessary.
Over the last few weeks, my sheer workload has left me exhausted. I’ve been in meetings with marketing to strategise our next campaigns and with finance to ensure we maintain healthy cash flow. I also dedicated time to coaching my team, reminding them that setbacks are part of the journey. The long hours spent on spreadsheets, emails, and phone calls have left little time for socialising outside of work, but I’m learning the importance of trying to achieve a balance.
As I close this entry, I remind myself that entrepreneurship is a journey of growth. The challenges teach me resilience, and the victories remind me why I started this venture in the first place. Here’s to more highs and learning from the lows!
Until next time.
